Voronezh State Medical Academy named after N N Burdenko is state institution of higher education of the Federal Agency for Health and Social Development in Voronezh city of Russian Federation. Voronezh State Medical Academy was organized in 1918 as a medical faculty of Voronezh State University. In 1930 medical faculty of Voronezh State University became independent Voronezh Medical Institute. In 1994 Voronezh Medical Institute received the status of academy. Today Voronezh State Medical Academy provides education programs in higher, medium, vocational and postgraduate education. The structure of Voronezh State Medical Academy consists of 5 faculties, 63 departments, 3 Institute, 3 Research Institute and 2 clinics. Voronezh State Medical Academy employs 861 teachers, including 137 doctors and professors, 137 associate professors and 287 assistant professors. Since 1918 Voronezh State Medical Academy has trained 37500 doctors and professionals.
